Resource Library

Recovery & Me, in collaboration with the Council on Chemical Abuse and the Berks County Library System, hosts an Addiction Resource Library that is open to the public. The library is open Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library is a clearinghouse of materials that address topics such as addictions, codependency, recovery, behavioral health, refusal skills and parenting. The library offers books, videos, DVDs, and visuals aids that are available for the public to borrow.

In order to borrow materials from the library, you must have a Berks County Library System library card. You may reserve any of our materials online or by email drugfree@councilonchemicalabuse.org. Reserved items must be picked up at the Addictions Resource Library within five days after the reservation is made. You can see our available listings, by using the Berks County Library System to search for titles of addiction and recovery related  literature and videos. To see what the library offers specifically, be sure to click “Council on Chemical Abuse” under “Assigned Branch” on the left side of the search page.
